Coined as the Mega International Machine Tool Event, the exhibition saw more than 1,000 exhibitors showcasing their sophisticated products and services to approximately 23,000 trade professionals and visitors.
According to Albert Lai, Managing Director of Trade-Link Exhibition Services, organiser of the large-scale event, the turnout was good and many of the exhibitors received serious enquiries for their products despite the daily downpour.
As exhibitors demonstrated the capabilities of their machines, many buyers entered into negotiations with these exhibitors. Sharing a booth with the Singapore Manufacturers Federation, BuySingapore was at the metal trade fair to collect leads for its business matching portal. Meeting buyers and sellers from the electronic and precision engineering industry, trade leads and enquiries for the portal streamed in.
